Congratulations to Antonio Calcagno, recipient of the The Edward Goodwin Ballard Prize in Phenomenology for his book, Lived Experience from the Inside Out.
The prize was announced at the Society for Philosophy and Existential Phenomenology conference on October 9, 2015.
Calcagno's book, "an impressive work of seminal scholarship . . . highly recommended," according to Library Bookwatch, was published in December 2014.
Calcagno is also the author of The Philosophy of Edith Stein, published by Duquesne University Press in 2007.
The Edward Goodwin Ballard Prize in Phenomenology is sponsored by the Center for Advanced Research in Phenomenology with interest from a fund raised from Professor Ballard’s family, students, and friends. The prize is awarded annually for the best book in phenomenology from the previous three years nominated in an area of interest to Ballard.
